Meet the Designer

Johanna learned from a very young age the appreciation for beautiful gems. At the age of 17 she moved to London to learn English, and there Johanna discovered her true passion. Inspired by the beauty and craftsmanship she observed in the mesmerizing windows of Van Cleef & Arpels and Harry Winston while exploring the city, she began buying stones from a local store and making jewelry as a hobby.

Her passion and love for jewelry design grew. Johanna moved to Florence, Italy for a few years to pursue her career and study Jewelry Design at Scuola Lorenzo de Medici. With a constant desire to learn more about the industry and without thinking twice she followed her dream and next moved to New York City to study Jewelry Design and Illustration at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) with Maurice Galli, author and longtime senior designer for Harry Winston, Inc.

The Johanna d’Camp concept has been in the works for a few years, but before she decided to start her own jewelry line, she was well prepared after working for some of the top luxury brands in the jewelry industry, including De Beers Diamond Jewellers, Iridesse Pearls, a subsidiary of Tiffany & Co, and Rebecca by Alessandro Testi.

She also holds both diamond and gem certificates from GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the most recognized gemological institute in the world. Johanna’s designs pay close attention to detail, beauty and great craftsmanship, and her passion keeps her imagination constantly creating sensible and useful pieces of beautiful jewelry.

Designed and handcrafted in Miami and New York, her pieces have her signature of functionality, luxury and beauty. Keeping simplicity as her motto, Johanna understands that classic and luxury can be combined in any piece of jewelry to make the perfect everyday statement.
